With Thanksgiving around the corner, I am sure many of you are planning out your Thanksgiving menus. We hosted Thanksgiving last year, so this year we will be traveling to be with our family which means I get to relax a little more and not worry about cooking a huge meal.
With my family, we usually snack during the day on yummy appetizers and then do the full Thanksgiving feast later in the evening. So, I wanted to share one of my most FAVORITE apps that 1) takes less than 15 minutes to whip up, 2) the topping ideas are endless, and 3) looks really really fancy.
Goat Cheese Crostinis
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
· 1 crusty French baguette
· 5 oz. goat cheese
· 3-4 tbsp. honey
· 3-4 tbsp. balsamic glaze
· Handful of thyme
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Cut the bread into ½ inch slices and place onto an ungreased cookie sheet
3. Cook for approximately 5 minutes or until the bread is slightly golden on the edges
4. Spread a thin layer of goat cheese over the top of each crostini
5. Drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze
6. Sprinkle thyme over each crostini
What I love so much about this appetizer is that you really can use whatever toppings you want- keep it sweet by adding honey with walnuts/pecans or make it more savory by adding some crispy bacon pieces. Honestly, you can competely switch up this recipe and make it your own.
I linked some of my favorite serving dishes and things you may need for this recipe down below! I served these crostinis on this marble cheese board from Pottery Barn. I hope you guys try out this easy recipe! What are you cooking for Thanksgiving this year? Thanks for reading and sharing! -A
