One of my favorite looks for the fall/winter is a miniskirt paired with OTK boots. Normally, you’ll find me in jeans during the fall and winter, but I love to mix up my looks with a good miniskirt. And when I say “mini” I don’t mean teeny tiny. I have a pretty strict rule about skirts- they cannot be too short! I have a confession guys- my legs are my least favorite part of by body, so that last thing I want to be wearing is some tiny little skirt. I typically look for skirts that are form-fitting, but are a little on the longer side only because I try to cover my thighs as much as possible. If only I had some of those Hadid family genes….
I also love that you can invest in one really good miniskirt and then pair it with different tops/sweaters to easily change up your look. This black suede miniskirt from H&M is so comfortable and can pair well with just about anything. And the price point is so good under $25! Unfortunately, this skirt is close to selling out, but no worries, I linked some of my fave skirts down below for you! For this look, I paired the miniskirt with one of my favorite sweaters from Nordstrom- look at the sleeve detail! Seriously, so good! For a totally different vibe, you could easily pair this with a vintage band t-shirt and a moto jacket for a more edgy look.
This look would be perfect for any holiday event- I am considering this look for Thanksgiving, but I am seriously contemplating wearing this skirt with this top– I love all the colors together and think it would be perfect for the holidays. Don’t be surprised if you see a post about that outfit soon ha! I recently purchased these OTK boots in the sandstone suede color and they are all.the.things.
My earrings are on repeat and can be found here– they are so fun! My OTK black boots are Steve Madden last season, but similar pairs can be found here and here. One of my friends posted this backpack on IG a little while ago and I about died- so chic! Zara always has the most amazing (and affordable) pieces and I am seriously upset that we have yet to have one open in Nashville- Zara, are you listening?!? Funny story about Zara- the first actual store I ever went into was in Chicago this past summer and I have been hooked ever since. My husband and I went to London and Paris in early fall this year and there is literally a Zara on every corner. I was so excited, but my husband…not so much. I keep saying, “but it’s my birthday…” which worked the first two times we went haha. I went into at least 5-6 different Zara stores and loved all of it! Many of their outerwear pieces were out because it was getting cooler in Europe, so I scooped up a beautiful camel-colored cape and white coat. I cannot wait to style both pieces soon once it stays cooler in Nashville!
What do you guys think about miniskirts in the winter? Love it or not a fan? Thanks for reading and sharing! -A
