Happy Monday friends! We are officially one week away from Christmas and I could not be more excited! I hope all of you will be spending time with loved ones and enjoying all the magic of this holiday season!
As far as I can remember, it was engrained in me to always “dress nice” on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. When I was little, we would travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the holidays, as that is where my parents are grew up. We would spend Christmas Eve with my mom’s side of the family and Christmas day with my dad’s family. I used to get so excited to “dress up” and was usually wearing something new that I received from Santa. My sister and I used to have these matching long red coats- we called them our “red riding hood coats”- and those made numerous appearances during the holidays!
I may have left my favorite red coat in the past, but I still feel like it is so important to feel confident and stylish during the holidays. Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite holiday dresses that can easily take you from church to family gatherings/parties.
This sweater dress has quickly become one of my favorites! You can’t really tell from the photos, but there is a wide belt that ties around your waist- cinches you in AND covers any tummy area you’re trying to hide! Which let’s be real, it’s the holidays so that means all the food and all the drinks! Added bonus- this dress is also available in petite sizes, so it’s perfect for those of us who are 5’ 5” or under!
I bought this exact coat in Paris during our trip in September and have been waiting the last few months to wear it! I have always had a thing for white coats- I think they are so classic and chic. Not to mention, I met my husband when I was wearing a white coat and he stills talks about “that girl that I saw wearing that white coat” HAHA! I should also mention that we met in a fraternity house, so there’s that…
I have blogged about this handbag a few times- such a good neutral bag at such a good price point. Not to mention that this Rebecca Minkoff bag looks nearly identical and is nearly 7 times more expensive!
Lastly, I am absolutely in love with these heels. Such a good neutral color that can be paired with SO many outfits- dresses, jeans, skirts, etc. I also am a big fan of the wider heel, as they are much easier to walk in for a clumsy gal like myself!
I sincerely hope all of you have the most wonderful Christmas and wish you nothing but love and happiness in the coming year! And THANK YOU for following along on this journey with me! I hope you enjoyed this round up and as always, thank you for reading and sharing!! – A
