A few weeks ago, Apolis, a lifestyle brand dedicated to empowering communities worldwide, reached out to me regarding a collaboration. I’ll be honest with you guys- I do not accept many collaborations, as I feel like the brand must fit my style and aesthetic. But, when they reached out to me and I learned their story, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this movement!
Apolis was created in 2004 with the intent of sourcing and manufacturing its products with artisans in Uganda, Peru, Bangladesh, and beyond. This city market bag that I am carrying, which is ginormous by the way, was created in Bangladesh. A co-op of over 70 artisans helped to create the sturdy, vegetable-tanned leather handles and waterproof lining. The co-op also provides fair wage jobs for Bangladeshi women, which really sealed the deal for me to work with this brand. By purchasing any of their products, you are creating life-changing opportunities in so many different cities all around the world- feels good to give back, doesn’t it?!
I am carrying their market bag from the city series- isn’t it the best? I cannot wait to use it for grocery shopping, traveling to the farmers market, and to bring to the beach. The best part? It is completely customizable- you can literally have WHATEVER you want printed on it. I went for the basic city (probably because I am a basic b- whatev!), but I think it would look great with a quote or scripture verse! I also think this would be a perfect bag for a newly engaged gal- she can get her new name printed on it!
Not only do they carry these amazing bags, but they have everything from apparel to accessories (I was eyeing their wine totes too!). I can always use another good-quality bag around the house and when it also helps to support artisans around the world- well, say no more. Apolis has been so generous and is offering FREE ground shipping to my followers for the next 24 hours with the code ‘ALEXA123.’ I really hope you all will help to support this movement and get yourself an amazing bag in the process! Their site is here and the link to my bag is here! Love you all and thank you so much for reading and sharing! -A
