Happy Monday sweet friends! Sending some positive vibes to get you through this work week!
Today, I am talking about one of the biggest trends each Spring-floral. Year after year, floral prints are always present, but they seem especially appropriate during the Spring months. I will be honest- in the past, I have tended to shy away from “loud prints” and felt much more comfortable wearing more neutral, solid colors. However, ever since I started this blogging journey, I have learned how to take more fashion risks and incorporate more color/patterns into my closet.
I wanted to show you two ways to rock a floral print: A smaller, more subdued print versus a bold, large, and loud print. As you can see, the first dress is certainly more subdued. The print is much smaller (micro-floral) and the colors blend easily together. I also love the pop of yellow on the ends of the ruffles! This dress is so fresh and feminine, especially with the added ruffles and ties at the shoulders. I also think this dress could easily take you from daytime (just throw on a denim jacket with some flat sandals) to nighttime (add wedges and statement earrings). This dress would be perfect for bridal showers to weddings to vacay!
The second dress is certainly more bold and in your face- but in a good way, I think! This is literally the brightest article of clothing in my closet and certainly the only red item I own. I tend to shy away from red, as I do not think it looks good on me! I saw this dress a few months ago and kept eyeing it online. Initially I told myself that this dress just wasn’t me and was too loud for my taste- but, I kept coming back to the site and finally decided to pull the trigger and buy it. I am so glad I did as it is so beautiful in person! This dress makes such a statement! It is so easy to wear and comfortable- plus, the slits add a little extra! I love this dress for weddings and other more formal events for Spring!
What do you think about the floral trend? Are you more into the micro-floral print or bold print? As always, thank you for reading and sharing! -A
