When Fourth of July rolls around it’s time to pull out the red, white, and blue. Fun fact- Fourth of July is my second favorite holiday (after Christmas, of course!) and I absolutely love everything about it. Its summer, everyone is happy, the food is delish, and the fireworks are always show stopping. Plus, it is a reminder that my birthday is around the corner, so it feels like double the celebration!
For the last few years, we have been spending the Fourth on vacation. Last year, Scott and I went to Destin, Florida with my parents and siblings. We had so much fun and it is definitely a trip that I will cherish forever. This year, Scott and I will be in Tulum, Mexico, so I am little unsure if I will get my fireworks haha! We are so excited for this trip together!
I styled this striped peplum top with the best white denim for a chic holiday look. White denim can be tricky, but this pair is not see through and really sucks me in! I also love that it is available in petite and tall sizing as well. Of course I had to throw in some red somewhere, so I tried a red bandana (the same one I use as a headband!) to my bag for a little color.
A few days ago, I asked you all on Instagram stories what type of look you preferred for the Fourth- casual or dressy? Over 95% of you said casual, so I included some of my favorite picks below! Of course, I also included some dressier looks too!
I hope you guys have something fun planned for the upcoming holiday. I especially love this holiday as it reminds me of the brave men and women who have served, and those who continue to serve. As a prior military wife, I certainly know the sacrifices that those who serve, as well as their loved ones, make on a daily basis. Scott was in the army for five years and was deployed for 9 months to Afghanistan while we were engaged. He also had countless training exercises that took him away from home for months. Through this experience, I now have a greater appreciation for all those who serve in our military, as well as their family members. They are all heroes!
I would love to hear if any of you have family members or friends who have served or are currently serving!
As always, thank you for your continued support! -A
