Since Scott and I will be leaving for Mexico this weekend (ahhhh trying to contain my excitement!), I have been busy planning out everything I want to bring- which mainly includes swimsuits.
Now, I have to be 100% honest with all of you- I used to hate wearing swimsuits. Literally, I despised it. I would feel so uncomfortable and was usually trying to figure out a way to cover up my stomach or thighs. Oh, I need to go grab something from the tiki bar? Let me put my cover up back on. Oh, you want me to sit indian style on the lounge chair? Wait, let me wrap my towel around me so you cannot see my stomach rolls.
When I was younger, friends would invite me to their pool or on their boat during the summer. And you know what? Sometimes I would turn them down because I felt uncomfortable being in a bathing suit- I know, crazy! Don’t get me wrong- I do not dislike my body, but there are certainly parts of it that I wish were more toned. I try to work out as much as I can and eat healthy most of the time, but I have come to realize that I am who I am- and I need to accept that!
As I have gotten older, my self-confidence has certainly increased where I do not dread being in a bathing suit- instead, now I just deal with it and try to rock it! I hope you all can do the same- we shouldn’t waste time worrying over/nit picking every little “imperfection.” Instead, we should stand tall and be confident! Rock that swimsuit girlfriend!
So, today I wanted to share some of my favorite swimsuit picks for this summer. I included one pieces (which I personally LOVE) and two pieces from varying price ranges! Hands down, my favorite one piece is this one as it is SO FLATTERING on every body shape. It is a splurge (100% worth it in my book), but I really like this less pricier version here.
