Hi friends! Finally getting my life together after the most amazing long weekend in NYC. I wanted to hop on here and talk briefly about my first-ever NYFW experience including the purpose of the trip and why I am so glad that I went.
A few weeks ago, one of my best friends, Natalie Kennedy (I am sure you guys know her!), and I were talking about NYFW. By no means are we “high-fashion” bloggers, but we felt like it would be a good experience and an opportunity to connect with other women in the blogging community. We reached out to a few other girls who we knew were interested in going and started planning our trip. We ended up rooming with Melissa (@alwaysmeliss), Makenna (@makennachristinexo), and Shelby (@shelbymoroney). The five of us stayed in the most beautiful suite at Omni Berkshire Place– it was the BEST location and they took amazing care of us! Not to mention the suite was GINORMOUS- like massive. I was fully expecting a tiny hotel room (I mean, this is NYC people!), but this suite was literally the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in.
As you guys know, this was my first time in NYC and -oh my gosh- it was a total blast. The city is literally magical and is so full of life! Everything is in constant motion and we were always on the go. We also rarely stopped to eat, so I did get a little hangry at times haha! Lesson learned- pack snacks for the hotel room!
During our time in NYC, we visited a few PR showrooms where we were able to check out their brand’s products. Not only are these visits really fun, but it is an opportunity to network with PR firms that can potentially connect you to brands for campaigns.
We also attended a few events for Banana Republic, Kendra Scott, Lulus, and Reward Style. This was another amazing opportunity to network with fellow bloggers and meet everyone!
Ultimately, this trip was really about meeting the women that have inspired me to launch Lately with Lex- and let me tell you, each woman I met was nothing short of fabulous. As someone who is much more of an introvert and who can sometimes get anxious in large groups, I weirdly felt at ease around everyone. In the world where many women can be catty and competitive, I felt so much love and support! Each girl that you saw in my stories and photos is a true genuine friend. Each of these ladies is a GIRL BOSS in their own right and I am so lucky to have these women in my corner.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience that I will never forget! Now that I am home, I feel so inspired to keep creating wonderful content for all of you and I cannot wait to see what’s next for Lately with Lex! As always, THANK YOU for reading and sharing- it seriously means the world to me! -A
Such a great read! What an amazing opportunity to connect and support other strong boss babes and not to mention the beautiful city of New York. Looking forward to see upcoming contents. Love your inspiration.

Sandy,
Thank you so much for you kind words! NYC was an incredible experience in itself, but spending time with the women who have inspired me for so long was the icing on top! So happy that I have so many supportive women around me! Hope you are having the best weekend!
Looks like you had a fabulous time! I’ve enjoyed following along with your NYFW adventure on IG. I wanted to go this season, but my 1-year-old is still too attached to me and I felt bad thinking of leaving her. Hoping I can make it to all of the fun next time!

It was seriously the best time! It was my first time in NYC, so there was a lot to take in. I would love to go back with my husband and experience more of the city! And yes, I hope you can make it next time too!
