Can you guys believe Thanksgiving is literally in two and a half weeks?! I feel like it is so much earlier this year – and it will be here before we know it!
I have hosted Thanksgiving once in the past (didn’t burn anything!), but this year we will be traveling to the North Georgia mountains to Scott’s aunt and uncle’s home. I absolutely adore their home- it sits high atop a mountain and has the most spectacular views. Scott’s cousins (all girls) will also be there and it is so much fun because we are all around the same age! Their family also has the sweetest tradition where they go to a Christmas tree farm the day after Thanksgiving to cut down their own tree- I seriously LOVE it! Also, one of his cousins, Alexi (yes, it was a little confusing at first with an Alexi and an Alexa in the family) just had a baby girl and I cannot wait to see her!
We will be driving down Thursday morning, as both Scott and I will be working Wednesday. Thanksgivings are typically pretty casual in the mountains and I typically wear jeans and a sweater- depending on the weather I will opt for either a lightweight or heavier sweater.
I love this sweater for Thanksgiving as I think the colors are so pretty and perfect for the holiday! It is a more lightweight sweater, so if you are somewhere a little cooler, you may want to add a jacket! I paired it with a skirt here, but it also looks great with blue jeans or black denim and boots!
Below, I am sharing my favorite sweaters for Thanksgiving!
I hope you all have the best Thanksgiving and are surrounded by all those that you love! Thank you for reading and sharing! -A
