Daytime Looks
The weather in Italy is pretty similar to what we are currently experiencing in Nashville- high 60s/low 70s during the day with a 10 degree drop at night. Not sunbathing weather by any means, but I feel like it will be nice- especially with all the walking we plan on doing! I tend to get chilly easily, so I am always the one that carries around a jacket everywhere I go. I plan on bringing a casual denim jacket, a Moto jacket, and a gorgeous trench coat to wear! Mainly, I want to be comfortable during the day, so I plan on wearing easy breezy tops with either shorts or jeans- nothing too crazy! I am also going to bring a few rompers as well! Below, I included the items that I am bringing to create more “daytime” looks.
Nighttime Looks
For night, I plan on being a tad bit dressier and will be bringing some dresses, rompers, and bodysuits to pair with jeans. I most likely will be wearing some kind of jacket as well since it will be chilly! I included what I am bringing below!
Shoes & Accessories
Probably my most asked question- “What shoes are you bringing?” I know that we will be doing a lot of walking + there are a ton of steps in Italy, so I mainly will be in flats. To be honest, flats are not my favorite kind of shoe from a ‘fashion’ standpoint- I am only 5’2″ and hate being the shortest person in a room, so I prefer a comfy wedge. However, I know that comfort is wayyy more important in this scenario HAHA! I will be bringing 1-2 pairs of heels (mainly just to have in case we grab dinner nearby or something!), but mainly will be wearing flats/sandals.
Travel Essentials
Our flight for Italy leaves Sunday afternoon and I am actually dreading it. I don’t mind flying at all, but I have the hardest time sleeping on planes. We have a super quick flight from Nashville to Atlanta and then our 11 hour flight to Rome begins. The flight is completely overnight and I am very worried that I won’t fall asleep. If you have any tips, let me know! Below I included my travel essentials including my favorite luggage, portable charger, and mini steamer!
*Update: wanted to share the converter we purchased for our trip! Ordered from Amazon and it worked great! I was able to use all my normal hair tools and we were able to charge our phones with no issues- highly recommend!
I hope this post helps if you have any upcoming trips! Let me know where you are headed. As always, thank you for reading! -A
Ahhh thanks for this! I leave for Europe trip that includes Italy in 6 weeks and found this so helpful!
So happy to hear that! You will have so much fun!!
Thank you for sharing!! My husband and I are going to Italy for our honeymoon in a few months. Can’t wait to see your recap once you come back 🙂 !!
That will be amazing! Yes, I will definitely be posting a travel guide once we get back!
I’m curious if you carried on luggage or checked? We are flying from US to Amsterdam and then to Nice in a couple months and I don’t think I can fit everything in a carry on bag.
Scott and I both checked one bag and then I had a small carry-on duffel bag too!
