Happy Cinco de Mayo, ladies! Today my mom and I are making one of her famous desserts- banana pudding….yes, I know- this has nothing to do with Cinco de Mayo haha! It’s such a classic dessert (especially here in the South) that I know you guys will love. This dessert has always been a staple during warmer months and is so easy to whip up- seriously! It’s also easy to double if you are feeding a larger crowd!
Banana Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 container of Cool Whip
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box vanilla wafers
- 3-4 bananas
- 1 large box vanilla instant pudding
- 2 cups milk
Directions
- Combine pudding mix and milk- beat until slightly thick.
- Add in sour cream and cool whip. Mix well.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- In a bowl or trifle dish layer vanilla wafers, then sliced bananas, and pudding mix. Add another layer of vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding mix. Continue adding layers until your container is full. For the final layer, add vanilla wafers on top.
