Before life gets crazy with a newborn, I wanted to share Gray’s toddler room with you all. Yes, I know it may not look like a ‘toddler’ room seeing as there is a crib in here, but ultimately we decided to keep Gray in his crib (although it can be converted into a toddler bed). Gray is 19 months and we just felt like he wasn’t ready for a ‘big boy’ bed quite yet- he sleeps so well in his crib and generally doesn’t try to escape haha.
For this room, I wanted to focus on an overall neutral color scheme with pops of a boy-ish green. I came across this crib and immediately fell in love. I also ordered this matching bookcase, but it hasn’t arrived yet- it will be placed under the HAHA artwork (seen below) and will store all Gray’s books + baskets for toys.
I also fell in love with this rug and cannot recommend it enough! It adds a touch of whimsical to this room and is incredibly soft. I included details of this shot below:
- Light, small size; also really liked this one, but it was on backorder
- Curtain Rod
- Curtains and roman shades are custom from Restoration Hardware- I ordered the Perennials Performance Classic Linen Weave roman shade in white and the Perennials Performance Classic Linen Weave drapery (rod pocket) in dove.
- Artwork above bed – Size 30 x 30, float mounted with matte brass frame (20% off framed artwork at Minted until 7/31 with ALEXAFRAMES)
- Crib, fitted sheet, crib skirt
- Sheep blanket
- Giraffe basket with lamb and deer (stuffed dog is old)
- All other baskets pictured are from Home Goods
- Big brother flag found at local store
- Deer and gray knit blanket old
- Rug
We decided to add one accent wall in Gray’s room. Scott added a simple vertical wood design and I love the way it turned out- I feel like it adds a modern touch to the room. Paint color is Sherwin-Williams Alabaster and room details can be found below:
- Dresser
- Mirror
- Monitor, Sound machine
- Lamp
- Basket
- Artwork (20% off framed artwork at Minted until 7/31 with ALEXAFRAMES)
- Dog is old
This little area is situated between Gray’s bedroom and bathroom doors. I added this artwork (30 x 40, float mounted, matte brass frame; 20% off framed artwork at Minted until 7/31 with ALEXAFRAMES) as I thought it was a fun touch and this bookcase will be placed underneath.
For this corner of the room I debated getting a glider or doing a cute table and chairs. Ultimately, I chose the table and chairs as I thought Gray would like having an area to play, color, and read. I absolutely love this table and chair set- it is so cute and perfect for little ones! I also opted to create a cute gallery wall in this corner- all details can be found below!

We are so happy that Gray loves his new room and we cannot wait for this room to grow with him as he gets older! As always, thank you for reading! -A
