Today my mom and I are sharing a delicious recipe that is a perfect side dish for any fall gathering! It’s a staple at our Thanksgiving dinner every year, but you can make it anytime! Super easy to make and takes about an hour to bake in the oven- and trust us, everyone will LOVE it!
Hot Cranberry Casserole
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of apples (peeled, cored, chopped)
- 2 cups whole cranberries, raw
- 1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cup sugar (only use this if you want more tart flavor)
- 1 1/3 quick cooking oats
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 stick butter, melted
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325F
- Combine apples and cranberries in a buttered casserole dish.
- Spring sugar and lemon juice evenly over top.
- Mix oats, walnuts, brown sugar, and melted butter in a mixing bowl until moistened.
- Cover fruit with crumb mixture.
- Bake at 325 for 60-75 minutes
- Enjoy!
