Each fall, I get so excited because I get to break out the bold lips and metallic/glittery eyeshadow- well, that sounds a little aggressive, but you know what I mean!
In the Spring and Summer, I tend to wear a more natural look with neutral eyeshadows and more pinky-nude lips. In the fall and winter, I usually switch over to more metallic eyeshadows (coppers, golds, etc) and berry-red lips! I am pretty sure Scott hates when I wear bold lipstick, but whatever- he can deal!
Today, I wanted to cover fall beauty trends including the best eyeshadow palettes, lip colors, and highlighters! *As a side note, I have all of my daily makeup products linked under the shop tab- just go to shop > beauty and everything is there!
This fall, you can plan to see darker, more bold eyes- metallic/glittery eyeshadows are always popular, especially near the holidays! Personally, I love this Laura Geller eyeshadow palette, but I have included some of my other favorites below! I like to incorporate more golds/coppers/violets into my eye makeup routine during this time of the year.
Another trend for fall is a bold lip- colors can range from classic red to a more berry hue! I gravitate towards more matte, berry colors like this lipstick in the color ‘secret salma’. If you are a little nervous about this trend, I would try this lipstick in the color ‘pillow talk’ first- this is a gorgeous pinky-nude that can ease you into more bold colors! I included some of my favorite lipsticks below!
Lastly, I wanted to talk about highlighters. I wear highlighters year round (not all the time- just when we are going out at night) and I think that it makes your skin look so glowy and pretty! I gravitate towards most gold-colored highlighters and prefer a powder over a cream/liquid. I usually apply the highlighters to the bridge and tip of my nose, cheekbones, and right above my lips! Sometimes, the winter weather can cause dull skin, so adding in a highlighter can really help to make your skin look more dewy!
