Okay- I know we haven’t even had Christmas yet and here I am talking about NYE! But, if you have plans for NYE, now is the time to figure out what you are wearing- who wants to be running around after Christmas looking for something to wear? Not me! I would much rather figure it out now and not deal with last-minute stress.
Scott and I recently booked a trip to Chicago for NYE. Scott has never been (I’ve been twice), so I am excited to explore the city with him. We are actually going with a group of friends, so it should be a fun time. The only thing I’m dreading- that flight on January 1st back home HAHA! At least it’s a late afternoon flight though! Scott has to get back to work on the 2nd (I’m smart and took that day off haha!), so we will have to leave for home on New Year’s Day.
Do you have any resolutions for the new year? To be honest, I never really make a “resolution,” but I do try to remind myself that it is a new year that’s a blank slate. This year, I am going to continue to work hard in my professional life, but I do want to take more time to be with family and friends. With blogging/social media and my job as a part-time nurse practitioner, I find myself skipping out on a lot of family/friend events due to work. I need to remind myself to take these moments with them- it’s not the end of the world if I don’t get to every e-mail. So, I suppose that’s my resolution- make more time for those who are important to me and to stop stressing over perfection.
