You guys! I am so excited about this post! Today, I am sharing the best places to shop online on a budget. I have done A LOT of shopping online, so I consider myself somewhat of a pro in that area haha! Although it is nice to splurge on a statement piece every now and again, this is real life and not all of us can live like a Kardashian.
Check out my top 5 picks below:
1. Vici: I posted about this boutique last week and am wearing this look by them- their stuff is amazing. I love that almost all the pieces are in the $50-$100 range and everything is on trend. They have everything from casual tops to more formal dresses! Seriously, you cannot go wrong shopping here and I guarantee if you purchase anything from them, your friends will want to know where you got it! As a side note, I will be in California in May and my girlfriend who lives out there is planning on taking me to the actual Vici store- halleluiah! Sorry Scott!
2. Chicwish: Okay, I have been shopping at the online boutique for the last few years and I feel like they do have a lot of cute items! They have a lot of more vintage, feminine pieces (think ruffles, lace, etc), but I typically can always find a lot of good pieces. The prices are very affordable and I feel like a lot of the pieces look high end. Only downside is that regular shipping (the free option) takes 8-10 days, so it does take a little longer to get a package. You could always upgrade shipping for a few extra dollars and get it sooner though! I have had this skirt for years and actual wore it last year for Easter with a pretty white top! I just recently bought this dress, this dress, this dress, and this skirt, so you’ll be seeing these looks coming to the blog soon!
3. Asos: I like this site because they carry a HUGE variety of clothes from more edgy pieces to feminine dresses (this is where I got that pink lace midi dress that you guys loved!). Prices range from extremely low to over $100 for higher end pieces. I do feel like I typically spend some time searching the site for something I like (clicking through page after page) because not everything is my cup of tea. Shopping just takes a little longer when I use this site, but their shipping is fast and they really do have so many items to choose from!
4. H&M: I am sure you guys have heard of H&M, but if not, let me tell you about it! Luckily, we have a H&M store locally, so I do not actually order a lot online from them, but think of them as the next step up once you graduate from Forever 21. When I was in high school and college I lived at Forever 21- seriously, ask my roommates from college. I was a gal on a serious budget (living off extra scholarship money- YOLO!), but I was also trying to be on trend. Forever 21 definitely fit the bill and I swear I went nearly every Friday looking for things to wear for the weekend. Anyways, now that I am older, I rarely ever go to Forever 21 because now I feel like I am an old person there…okay, I just shed a tear. Why am I so old?!?! I feel like H&M is a good transition from Forever 21, as the pieces are a little more mature (and a little more expensive, but not much!). They also have a work wear section which I have purchased from and really liked. Shopping from their online site can be a little overwhelming (they just have so much!), so if you have an actual store nearby, I would definitely check them out!
5. Goodnight Macaroon: Okay, I am saving this for last because although this site has a TON of cute items that are very on trend, I will tell you that shopping with them can be hit or miss. A ton of HUGE bloggers work with the company, so I feel like you have probably seen some of their products before. Although everything is really cute and priced affordably, these items are coming from Hong Kong- yes, CHINA. Okay, before you roll your eyes just hold on one second…just choose express shipping, so it doesn’t take 3-4 weeks to receive your item. Their site says express shipping results in receiving your items within 3-5 business days (I would expect at least 7 days though!). Most of the items are based off higher end products, so everything is on trend, but the quality may be a little less- my thoughts on this is that you get what you pay for…I don’t mean this in bad way and like a lot of their items, but when you’re shopping on a budget I wouldn’t expect super high-quality pieces. This doesn’t mean that the clothes will fall apart after wearing them once, but it means the fabric may be less appealing, etc. The bottom line is that the clothes are cute and you’ll look good in any of these products- just remember it may take a while to get your items! As a side note, the site does a Flash Sale every Tuesday where certain pieces are 50% off. I would definitely check out their flash sale, as you’ll be able to get even more of a deal. I especially like this dress, this cardi, this cardi, and this dress.
I hope you guys enjoyed this round up of my favorite online sites when shopping on a budget. Don’t forget to check out your local boutiques as well- they will likely have super cute pieces at good prices as well (and you get the bonus of being able to try on pieces before you purchase them!). Would you guys want me to do a roundup of my favorite Nashville boutiques? If any of you live here in town or if you’re planning a trip to visit, this would be good information to know! Let me know what you guys think!
As always, thank you for reading and sharing! -A
