We have been having so much fun in Tulum and today I wanted to talk beach beauty. First off, I think beach beauty honestly starts with good skin, especially since I tend to wear minimal makeup at the beach. I have talked about Tula products before and they are the absolute best! I have been using their products for about 2 months and my skin has never been better. When it comes to beauty products for the beach, I tend to use products that have SPF built in, so I don’t have to slather sunscreen all over my face. Also, I switch over from my favorite foundation here to a more lightweight, but full coverage, CC cream here (has SPF 50 built-in!). I love giving my skin a little bronze-y glow with this coconut body glow and adding a little highlighter to my makeup routine.
Let’s not forget about beach hair. You guys know I love the textured, messy look and the beach certainly helps me achieve this look naturally. However, this sea salt spray is amazing and a must have for vacation!
Here are my top picks:
1. St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse: I have been using this for years and love it! Gives me the most realistic bronze glow and evenly fades over time- a must have before any beach trip! I recommend exfoliating before (especially elbows and knees) and using this mitt to apply.
2. It Cosmetics CC Cream with SPF 50: Okay, I bought this a few days ago prior to this trip because, like I mentioned above, I didn’t want to wear full foundation on the beach. This CC cream is more lightweight (but still provides amazing coverage!) and has SPF built-in! A definite must-have for the beach/pool!
3. Laura Gellar Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator: I love adding a little highlight to my cheekbones, nose, and décolletage for my nighttime looks! This is my favorite highlighter that I use- not “sparkly” and gives just the right amount of glow!
4. Tula Day and Night Cream: I already talked about how amazing Tula products are above and this one is my favorite to help alleviate dry skin! After long days on the beach, I love that this product replenishes my skin without making it greasy.
5. Supergoop Mineral Invincible Setting Powder: Okay, this is literally amazing. Again, I purchased this product specifically for this trip and I have been LOVING it! This setting powder provides SPF protection and I have been using it on top of the CC cream!
6. Drybar ‘Mai Tai Spritzer’ Sea Salt Spray: Helps to add soft, beachy waves which is perfect for a beach nighttime look! Also smells amazing!
