About Me

My name is Alexa and I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee (kinda a rarity these days because so many people are moving to our fabulous city!). I attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville (go Vols!) and graduated with my Bachelor’s in the Science of Nursing. I worked for 3 years as a RN in the hospital and then decided to go back to school for my Doctorate in Nursing. I ended up specializing in pediatrics and started working as a nurse practitioner in a pediatrician’s office. I absolutely LOVED my job- helping others, especially children, made my heart so happy! After a few years, I decided to start blogging on the side and today it now my full-time job. I will always stayed certified and licensed as a NP (just in case I ever go back), but for now I am loving helping all of you and being the best resource for all things fashion, beauty, and home!

I have been married for almost 7 years- my husband’s name is Scott. You can typically find him doing yard work or piddling (is that a word?!) around in the garage haha! He also is obsessed with this old school Jeep he bought last year when we were expecting our first child- pretty sure he was having a midlife crisis haha!

We welcomed our sweet baby boy, Gray, to this world in October 2019. It took us two years to conceive and we are beyond grateful to be parents. I talk more about our pregnancy journey here and our birth story here.

Currently, we live right outside of Nashville in a small suburb. We are in the process of building a home and cannot wait to move in later this year! I will be sharing lots of design inspo as we continue on in this process!

My goal is to be the best resource for all things affordable fashion, sales, baby, beauty, recipes, and home- I love sharing our life with you and hope that I can bring a smile to your day. I absolutely LOVE this community and am so thankful to have you along for the ride! XOXO
